Purpose:
Supporting FH Aachen students concerning social issues.
Who is the social fund actually supporting:
• The “studying with children” seminar (Tutorium “Studieren mit Kind”)
• The “Kinderkiste” in Jülich
• All students who are in financial needs during the course of their studies
• All students who are in financial needs during their diploma
History:
In 1984 the Student Fund was founded by students; based on the idea to allow students to complete/continue their studies despite social difficulties (sudden blessing with children, financial needs, etc.). Since then, over 600 students have been supported.
The association:
The social fund is a charitable association with 184 members, most of which are students. But alumni, professors and staff of the FH Aachen are members as well.
Donations:
Donations to the Social Fund are tax-deductible.

Administration costs:
The association’s administration costs amount to a minimum of less than 1% of its annual budget.
Who can become a member:
Anyone can become a member! In order enable anybody from the FH Aachen to become a member of the Social Fund, we kept the membership fees as low as possible.
For students: 6€/year
For everyone else: 16€/year
