Legal advice

This is a service for all FH Aachen students to get a free legal advice for issues concerning: BAföG, felony, parking/speeding ticket, dispute with the parents, tenancy, marriage, etc…

Dr. Dieter Groß,
Purweider Weg 5,
52070 Aachen

This is our practising lawyer. He will give you legal advice for a concrete situation and provides information about any further actions, process costs and financial aid, etc…

In some cases it is possible that a legal case is of fundamental nature for the entire student body. In such cases and under certain circumstances, the AStA’s is might take the risk of bearing the process costs. In order to receive a legal advisory you have to make an appointment at the AStA’s office by showing your FH Aachen student ID. Students from Jülich should get in touch with their respective Student Union.

The legal advisory is scheduled for Wednesdays from 4 through 6.30 pm only. However, you have to make an appointment for that particular day with the AStA however in advance.

You also have to leave a deposit of 10 Euros when you make an appointment, it will be completely refunded once you kept your appointment.

The students who encounter problems with the BAföG department due to the so-called “BAföG data synchronisation” should contact Dr. Gross directly. But please make sure to catch up on the latest information on this issue on his website before hand as these legal advisories won’t be free of charge.
